This website is part of a wider project funded by the Department for Trade and Industry (DTI) and co-ordinated by the British Federation of Race Equality Councils (BFoREC)
Racial Equality Councils' project managed by British Federation of Racial Equality Councils (BFoREC) Project members are producing awareness raising materials, that will be disseminated at a series of regional events for REC staff and key stakeholders. The events are intended to develop the REC movement's awareness of the Employment Equality Regulations, their impact in the workplace on employees and employers and how their advisors might deal with these issues when the arise. A website will also be created by the project to share examples of good practice with the site's visitors.
The project is funded under the DTI Capacity Building 2004/5 funding. For a list of other projects funded this year please click here and for projects funded in 2003/4 please click here.
As a part of this project local Race Equality Councils (RECs) have hosted free regional events to inform themselves of these regulations and consider how they relate to the work of RECs.The last event is taking place on 8 th April 2005 .
